NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The New York Chapter of the National
Investor Relations Institute (NIRI-NY) announced today that it is
seeking qualified college or graduate students to participate in the
chapter's Logler 9/11 Internship Program in summer 2010. The program is
sponsored on a volunteer basis by NIRI-NY to provide meaningful summer
internship opportunities in investor relations and public relations to
relatives of victims of the 9/11 attacks. The program was founded by
NIRI-NY in memory of chapter member Elizabeth (Beth) Logler, Vice
President-Investor Relations of eSpeed, who lost her life in the attacks
on the World Trade Center.
To qualify for the program, students must be sponsored by a 9/11
charitable organization and be interested in pursuing a career in
public, investor or media relations or corporate communications. In the
past, NIRI-NY has placed interns with Ogilvy PR, Burson Marsteller and
Becton, Dickenson and Company.
