About the Global Investor Relations Revolution
The Global Investor Relations Revolution is a pioneering examination of how investor relations has transformed from a transactional function into a sophisticated, strategic, and globally interconnected profession. It’s the first time the global IR community has come together and charts the evolution of IR across decades, highlighting its growing influence in corporate decision-making, the rise of ESG and purpose-driven investing, and the impact of regulatory shifts such as MiFID II.
Drawing on insights from over 1,000 leading global IROs, associations, and market experts, it explores key challenges, including activist investors, the decline in public listings, and the rise of AI. It argues that IR is no longer just about financial communications but has evolved into a critical leadership function shaping corporate reputation, governance, and long-term shareholder value.
