Elects Board for 2017-2018 Program Season
NIRI NY Chapter Honored at 2017 NIRI Annual Conference
New York, NY, July 17, 2017 – The New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI NY) held its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 20, at which it announced the newly elected Chapter Officers and Directors for the 2017-2018 term and recapped the highlights of a successful 2016-2017 season.
“It has been a privilege to serve as President of NIRI-NY during the past two years. This season we hosted insightful programs covering emerging issues, which attracted over 900 professionals, and established the NIRI New York NextGen initiative as a valuable resource to those new to the field of investor relations,” said Theresa Molloy, outgoing President of NIRI-NY and Vice President, Prudential Financial, Inc. “I am excited that Rebecca “Becky” Updegraph will assume the role as chapter president this season to further strengthen our foundation, innovate our programs and develop our membership alongside the evolving role of investor relations. During Becky’s tenure on the board, she has been instrumental in the development and execution of the chapter’s programs and goals.”

The NIRI New York Chapter recently received the NIRI Chair’s Award of Excellence at the NIRI Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in Orlando during the 2017 NIRI National Conference. NIRI-NY members MaryKate McGilley and Allison Monat were 2017 NIRI Individual Leadership Award winners and NIRI Chapter Team Award winners included Mark Eckstein, Sherif el-Azzazi, Tanya Kamatu, MaryKate McGilley, and Allison Monat. New this year, the NIRI Chapter Team Award was established to recognize the exceptional work of chapter leaders who worked as a successful team with demonstrable results in program planning, membership initiatives, or other worthy endeavors that benefit chapter members.
