NIRI New York Chapter Announces Beth Logler Scholarship

November 16, 2017

The Beth Logler Scholarship for the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) Certification

NEW YORK--()--The New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI-NY) announced today the creation of the Beth Logler Scholarship to provide eligible investor relations professionals with an opportunity to take the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) Certification.

An IRO’s range of influence now expands beyond the traditional communications role. Today’s IROs’ competencies reach across corporate disciplines including finance, strategy, and governance. To address the evolving IR role, NIRI created the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) Certification, a rigorous exam to help IROs measure their skills and ability by applying practice principles across ten IR competencies.

Since the exam’s inception, 133 IR professionals have passed the exam. These leaders represent companies such as BNY Mellon, FedEx, Voya, Edelman, and Sotheby’s.

“NIRI-NY is fully supportive of the efforts to advance the practice of investor relations through the IRC certification program,” said Rebecca Updegraph, President of NIRI-NY and Senior Executive Interviewer, Rivel Research. “Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or developing your career, the certification is a benchmark for excellence in investor relations.”

“Beth Logler was head of investor relations at eSpeed, located in the north Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11,” added Theresa Molloy, NIRI-NY Board Member and Vice President, Prudential Financial. “As a friend and colleague, Beth left a lasting impression on the New York community. This scholarship celebrates her contribution to our profession and our commitment to share her passion for IR.”

NIRI New York is offering one Beth Logler Scholarship for each of the three upcoming IRC exams in March, June and November 2018. To be eligible, you must qualify for NIRI’s eligibility requirements (https://www.niri.org/certification/irc-examination-information) and be a NIRI New York chapter member for at least five years.

Details regarding the Beth Logler Scholarship submissions and IRC examination dates are available in the ‘About Us’ section of www.niriny.org.
