NEW YORK-- The New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations
Institute (NIRI-NY) today announced that it is seeking New York City
area partners who can offer summer internships in the fields of investor
relations, public relations or corporate communications for the
chapter's Logler 9/11 Internship Program.
The NIRI-NY 9/11 Logler Memorial Internship Program is sponsored on a
volunteer basis by NIRI-NY to provide meaningful summer internship
opportunities to the children of victims of the 9/11 attacks. The
chapter's internship program was re-dedicated by NIRI-NY in memory of
chapter member Elizabeth (Beth) Logler, Vice President-Investor
Relations of eSpeed, who lost her life in the attacks on the World Trade
Center.
Since dedicating the program, NIRI-NY has successfully placed interns
with a number of leading companies in the greater New York City area,
including Acorda Pharmaceuticals, Acquire Media, Altria, BGC Partners,
Burson-Marstellar, Capital Bridge, Catalyst Global, EDGAR Online, Hain
Celestial, Henry Schein, PepsiCo, and Veeco Instruments.
"More than twelve years after 9/11, NIRI-NY remains committed to
supporting the children of 9/11, many of whom are now young adults
embarking on their professional paths. Together with our internship
sponsors and the recognized 9/11 charities Tuesday's Children and Silver
Shield, we are proud to provide internship opportunities for these
students as they begin their careers," said Eleanor Powell, President of
NIRI-NY and Executive Director, Investor Relations of The Estée Lauder
Companies Inc.
If you or your company has the ability to offer a paid summer
internship in investor relations, public relations or corporate
communications, please email Patrick Tracey at patrick.tracey@computershare.com.
