NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The New York Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI-NY) announced that the chapter was honored with four awards at NIRI's annual Chapter Leadership Awards event held in Seattle on June 2:

  • Best Overall Programming (Large Chapter): NIRI-NY was recognized for one of its most robust program seasons ever, providing members with highly relevant professional development opportunities From August 2011 to May 2012, NIRI-NY held 27 events, with 20 of those events free to chapter members.
  • Best External Affairs (Large Chapter): The chapter was recognized for the strong relationships it has built with universities, other professional organizations and corporate sponsors to achieve greater visibility for NIRI and the IR profession. In particular, NIRI-NY co-sponsored events with the business schools of three major New York City universities – Baruch, NYU and Fordham, which is now offering one of the country's first Master's Degree in Investor Relations.
