Wrenching changes in financial media, including fragmentation and the rise of new media outlets, are impacting equity coverage, news cycles and priorities. This program explores the “new normal” of public equity media coverage and is designed to help IROs – with or without direct media responsibility – to better understand the environment and to enhance their firm’s media success.

Our panel will discuss editorial priorities, coverage constraints and deadline pressures, as well as the opportunities they see for developing accurate and supportive financial media exposure and relationships. The program will help IROs:

  • Understand the nature and priorities of today’s financial media
  • Better manage breaking news inquiries and/or coverage of challenging topics
  • Shape management’s media expectations
  • Develop media strategy and messages – including embargoed exclusives, and
  • Position management for “expert” commentary or other visibility
